The presentable, 225-metre-high resort complex is located on the Cotai Strip in Macao. The total size of the atrium is 980,000 square metres with over 30 restaurants, 350 shops, conference rooms, exhibition centres and a casino.

The €2.4 billion project started in 2005 and opened in 2007. The development, coordination and construction were undertaken by a joint venture between Aedas and HKS, Inc. Hsin Chong Group and Mace Cost Consultancy Limited were the main contractors.
The stylistic features of the Venetian architecture can be seen in each building, both externally and internally. The bell tower replicates the Campanile di San Marco exactly, with columns, arched vault, gilded stucco and Italian paintings. Entire streets are recreated in the spirit of Venice.
The 51,000 square metres of gaming space is divided into four halls (Imperial House, Red Dragon, Phoenix and Golden Fish) with 800 gaming tables and 6,000 machines. The entertainment area is designed as a huge indoor block where various celebrations, beauty contests, sports competitions, concerts, award ceremonies and TV productions are staged on a grand scale. Between 2008 and 2012, the 1,800-seat theatre offered a production of Zaia by Cirque du Soleil. The sumptuousness of the interior has attracted international celebrities and gambling enthusiasts alike.
The three-dimensional interactive space, TeamLab SuperNature, incorporates eight-metre-high works of art from the teamLab and covers 5,000 square metres.
The Merry Christmas Mr. Island God Magic Show, which combines drama, comedy, illusion, magic, dance and music, was held in late 2020.
Casino facilities are not limited to the four gaming rooms; there is also Paiza Club with its own entrance, lobby and lifts. The club is designed for premium members and is divided into separate gaming rooms bearing the names of the world-famous cities: Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Yunnan. Members are entitled to use the all-day dining outlet Dining & Lounge.
Guests at the Venetian Resort Casino Macau can enjoy a 90-minute performance from Cirque du Soleil, the Cotai Arena, any of the many restaurants and local attractions within easy reach.
